Reasons to book your Mallorca Holidays at Hotel Horizonte

Yes, the hard part is the walk up the 100+ steps from the shops of Porto Pi. To get here from the Airport simply jump on the no.1 bus which is parked outside the main terminal building (along the car park walkway). It runs every 15mins through to Porto Pi at a cost of 1.80euro. Journey time around 30mins traffic permitting. The bus indicates the stop by announcement and also a sign above the driver, so no Spanish understanding required. Once you arrive you see a very clean reception area. The hotel is split into two wings and from my experience here, the rooms on the right wing are of differing quality than the left; the rooms are larger & bathrooms more modern on the left side. You also have a keycard to lock the door. On the right side the rooms are slightly smaller, the doors have standard key locks, but larger balconies with commanding views over to Palma (around 1.5km around the harbour). The water is clean and safe. The beds are pretty much what you'd expect for the price - average comfort. The TV's don't have remote controls (- on right wing rooms they are perched high up on a wall bracket!) nor will you find anything in English, bar 1 news channel. Outside there is a clean and fairly large freeform pool, a kids playpool and a long terrace, which is perfect for watching...as I did...the 40 min long San Sebastian firework display on 19th Jan - the Island's largest display. The breakfast room is large, and a standard quality Continental Breakfast is included in the room rate. 7euro is payable for evening meals. Down those steps to the town you'll find a few fast food outlets and a scattering of restaurants. The area is popular with youngsters in the evening as there is a cinema and entertainment complex. Across the road is a Carrefour indoor mall, with some good shops and a useful way to walk down your evening meal.
