Hotel Horizonte is a large 70's tower block which has recently undergone a facelift , albeit on a limited budget. However , we found the rooms comfortable and clean ,with great views over the town and harbour ,and facilities perfectly adequate - not many 2* hotels have swimming pool. Staff friendly , helpful, and receptionists speak good English. It is some distance from the old town but there is a taxi rank and local car hire opposite the front door. Car hire very reasonable. Two excellent restaurants - Spaghetteria and Port PI nearby offer alternative to 7 euro (!)evening meal at the hotel( which we didn't try).
