🕰️ A Horizon Full of History: The Beginnings of Hotel Horizonte in the 60s

Perched above Palma, with its eyes always on the sea, a dream was born over six decades ago: the Hotel Horizonte.
Today, thanks to the incredible work of Fotos Antiguas de Mallorca (FAM) and the Miguel Aguiló Capllonch Archive, we’re able to travel back in time and relive those special moments that marked the beginning of a story filled with emotions, connections, and unforgettable memories.

The Hotel Horizonte first opened its doors in the early 1960s, in a city just beginning to blossom—welcoming travelers, modernity, and the spirit of discovery. From its first cozy rooms and charming wooden reception desk to its sunny bar terrace and sweeping views over the port of Palma, every corner of the hotel held a story waiting to be lived.

🌟 A Place With Soul and Shared Memories

Since those early days, thousands have passed through our doors: curious travelers, entire families, artists, sailors, honeymooners… Each one left a trace in these walls—and many of those stories still live on today.

Looking at these photos, it’s hard not to feel nostalgic. The original pool, breakfast by the panoramic windows, summer evenings at the poolside bar… Hotel Horizonte didn’t just offer sea views—it offered a window into Mallorca’s bright future.
