We finally found another computer!! We have been having such a great time in Mallorca.... and wondered why we just didn´t spend our whole 2 weeks here!! It is gorgeous! We arrived Thursday night in Palma.... very cute, picturesque little city. We stayed in the "Old Town" which has narrow, cobblestone streets. Our hotel there was very cool. We had enough time to enjoy Palma before getting our rental car on Friday morning and heading off to the east side of the island to a town just off the coast in Son Servera. We could not pick our jaws up off the floor when we got to our hotel there. Imagine a bed and breakfast, old stone meets modern country estate. The area was amazing... with a pool overlooking the valley and the neighboring ocean. We planned to check in and go back out in our car exploring the area.. but the hotel was so great that we decided to spend it lazying by the pool drinking cocktails and enjoying the scenary. allez y les yeux fermés :) bonjour, je tenais à partager mon expérience dans cet hotel, j'y est séjourné avec des amis pour une semaine et nous n'avons pa été decu de notre choix. En effet, cette hôtel dispose d'une vue extraordianire sur palma et sur la mer notamment grâce à la terrasse panoramique ou l'on est obligé de s'arrêter à chaque fois que l'on passe devant. Au niveau de la nourriture, c'est très bon et c'est illimiter et le repas se fait dans un cadre agréable puisque il donne lui aussi sur la mer. le personnel est acceuillant et toujours prêt à aider pour quoi que ce soit. Yes, the hard part is the walk up the 100+ steps from the shops of Porto Pi. To get here from the Airport simply jump on the no.1 bus which is parked outside the main terminal building (along the car park walkway). It runs every 15mins through to Porto Pi at a cost of 1.80euro. Journey time around 30mins traffic permitting. The bus indicates the stop by announcement and also a sign above the driver, so no Spanish understanding required. Once you arrive you see a very clean reception area. The hotel is split into two wings and from my experience here, the rooms on the right wing are of differing quality than the left; the rooms are larger & bathrooms more modern on the left side. You also have a keycard to lock the door. On the right side the rooms are slightly smaller, the doors have standard key locks, but larger balconies with commanding views over to Palma (around 1.5km around the harbour).
