Easter in Mallorca: A Relaxing Day at Es Trenc Beach 🌸
If you are spending Semana Santa (Easter) in Palma de Mallorca, and want to enjoy one of the island’s most beautiful natural beaches, Es Trenc is a perfect choice for a day trip.
Located on the south coast of Mallorca, Es Trenc is known for its long stretch of white sand and clear turquoise water, surrounded by natural dunes and protected landscapes. It’s a wonderful contrast to the busier beaches closer to the city, especially in spring, when the weather is warm but not yet crowded.

How to get to Es Trenc
Es Trenc is easily reachable from Amic Hotel Horizonte in Palma: By car: It’s about a 45–60 minute drive south from Palma.
By public transport: There are buses and connections from Palma towards Campos and Sa Ràpita — ask our reception team for the current timetables and directions.
Whether you rent a car or use public transport, the journey itself is a pleasant way to see more of Mallorca’s landscape outside the city.
What to Expect
At Es Trenc you will find:
A wide open beach with long stretches of sand — ideal for walks and relaxation
Clear, shallow water perfect for swimming and wading
A natural atmosphere, with dunes and Mediterranean plants
Spring is one of the best times to visit because the temperature is comfortable and the beach is not as busy as in summer.
Some quieter areas of the beach are traditionally enjoyed by visitors looking for privacy, but the wide stretch of sand offers plenty of space for everyone.
There are a few small beach bars and restaurants where you can stop for a drink or lunch — perfect for a full day by the sea.

A Responsible and Natural Destination
One of the most special things about Es Trenc is that it has remained largely undeveloped, with no large hotels on the shoreline. Local support for preservation means the beach keeps its genuine natural beauty — something we always encourage our guests to experience and respect.
Nearby Beach Options
Playa de Ses Roquetes
On the opposite side of Colònia de Sant Jordi, you will find Playa de Ses Roquetes, a smaller and quieter beach. Reaching it requires a walk of around 30 minutes along the rocky coastline from the port area, but the reward is a peaceful and completely natural beach with no facilities.
Playa del Mago (Cala del Mago)
Another nearby option is Playa del Mago, a small cove that has also been officially designated as a naturist-friendly beach. The white sand and sheltered bay make it a very pleasant spot, and there is a beach bar available during the season.
